UNGA PRESIDENT PAYS A HISTORICAL VISIT TO THE SUVA CITY COUNCIL

The United Nations General Assembly President, His Excellency Tijjani Muhammad-Bande today made a historic visit to the Suva City Council where he met with the Lord Mayor/Chairman of the Special Administrators and the management staff.

The United Nations General Assembly President, His Excellency Tijjani Muhammad-Bande today made a historic visit to the Suva City Council where he met with the Lord Mayor/Chairman of the Special Administrators and the management staff. He then visited the Suva Municipal Market where he met with market vendors and partners of the Markets for Change Project to discuss progress on women’s economic empowerment. Mr Muhammad-Bande was accompanied by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Hon. Mereseini Vuniwaqa, Ministry officials and Suva-based UN staff.
