April 27, 2025The Suva City Council is ready to herald a new era of safety and convenience for public transport users in Suva as the extensive rehabilitation works at the Suva Bus Stand approach completion.
This vital infrastructure upgrade began in February 2025 in collaboration with the Fiji Roads Authority. The process underwent a meticulous planning and operational stage with its key priority to minimize disruptions for bus operators and commuters traveling to and from the city. Despite a few unforeseen setbacks encountered, the project has steadfastly progressed through its carefully defined stages, each contributing significantly to the overarching objective of a vastly improved public transport hub.
Suva City Council Acting CEO, Mr. Tevita Boseiwaqa said the Council is optimistic about the execution of the project given the steady progress achieved across all stages.
