June 10, 2024MISS HIBISCUS FESTIVAL 2024 INVITES SPONSORS AND QUEEN CONTESTANTS
June 15, 2024The Suva City Council is calling on all members of the public to be vigilant and report any instances of littering in public areas. This appeal follows an increase in littering in central areas of the Suva municipality, particularly around the Bailey Bridge area in Vatuwaqa, despite the availability of Skip Bins.
The accumulation of rubbish in these areas not only creates an unsightly environment but also emits a vile odor, posing potential health hazards to passersby. The Council continues to emphasize the importance of civic pride and responsibility, urging every member of the public to ensure their surroundings are well-maintained to prevent reoccurrence of litter of rubbish.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment is a collective responsibility and the Council believes that through joint efforts between the public and the authorities, Suva can remain a beautiful and healthy city for all.
