The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in partnership with Suva City Council is hosting a Voluntary Clean-up Campaign that will be conducted this Saturday 30th November 2013 from 09.00am to 12.00pm. This activity will cover cleansing of the popular Nasese Foreshore along Queen Elizabeth Drive commencing from Umaria Park and finishing off at Suva Point Park area at Beach Road.
Members of the public, Government Dept’s, schools, groups, business houses, corporate companies, faith based organizations, religious organizations and interested individuals are invited to be part of this worthy cause exercising environmental stewardship in cleaning up our City’s foreshores. Your participation will enable the inhabitants of Suva to access & enjoy a clean, safe & healthy picnic spots whilst the festive seasons is upon us.
Registration of participants and distribution of basic cleanup tools will begin from 08.00am at Umaria Park which is located close to the Suva Bowling Club.
Please come along and be part of the team to sustain our environment by bringing along your family, friends, workmates, colleagues, etc. and enjoy an event of fun, team building and accomplishment as citizens what we can give back to our community, our beloved City and our Fiji.
