The Suva City Council is pleased to report that the upgrade works at the Suva Bus Terminal are in their final stages of completion.
Suva City Council Acting CEO Mr Tevita Boseiwaqa said renovation which began last month includes a fresh coat of paint, the installation of a new roof (Terminal 2) and seat replacement in areas that were badly damaged (i.e. Terminal 1).
“Positive feedback has been received from the general public regarding these improvements. The Council credits the SCC maintenance team for their dedication to ensure minimal disruption is made to bus services. Maintaining the Bus Terminal is of utmost importance to the Council and therefore we call on the public who frequently use the bus services to assist in keeping the Terminal in good condition. Damages to the facility have been a recurring issue, and it is crucial for the public to contribute to its upkeep,” Boseiwaqa added.
The estimated completion date for the upgrade is within the next two weeks.
