This page is for your approval if you want to utilise or use your land. You will need an approval if you’re planning to subdivide land or undertake any activity on a site that does comply with the rules and standards of subdivision of land.
This approval comes with a very important responsibility that it requires you to consider the effects of the utilisation of the land on the environment and your community and reducing any effects that are of significance.
There are two types of development:

Land Use
Land use relates to a specific property and covers:
- new buildings and additions and alterations to buildings
- change in activities on your property
- land modifications – such as earthworks
Subdivision
Subdivision activities are:
- creating a new freehold title, which means the landowner (and the beneficiaries) owns the property outright
- creating a cross lease,
